Founding Partner of Petrus Partners, Ltd. in 1992. Present or past director or partner of numerous private companies and real estate partnerships. Over the past 30 years, Mr. Walter has been a principal in or investment banker for over $2 billion of acquisition, financing and sale transactions involving office, industrial, retail, hotel and multifamily properties as well as land investments (commercial, residential and agricultural) throughout the U.S.

Mr. Walter previously worked in the Real Estate Department of Goldman, Sachs & Co. and was a Principal with Centre Partners, the private equity investment partnership of Lazard Frères & Co. Mr. Walter is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and the Harvard Graduate School of Business, where he was a Baker Scholar. He served as a U.S. Navy officer under Admiral Hyman Rickover at the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program Headquarters.

He is President and a Trustee of the Montclair Art Museum, President of the Vanderbilt Navy ROTC Alumni Association, a member of Business Executives for National Security (BENS), a director of Trolex Corp., and a former director of the Vanderbilt Alumni Association.

Mr. Bennett joined Petrus Partners in 2006 and focuses on acquisitions, financings, and dispositions of both commercial properties and land developments. Mr. Bennett facilitates residential and commercial development of Petrus’ master-planned communities in Nevada and Arizona. Mr. Bennett oversaw the purchase of 15,000 residential lots since 2008.

Prior to Petrus, he worked at Nomura Securities International where he originated and underwrote commercial mortgage loans and in Merrill Lynch & Co.’s Private Wealth Management Division. Mr. Bennett graduated from Duke University and the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.
